John is a paid search/pay-per-click (PPC) expert who placed display ads for Intuit’s TurboTax in 1996 and was instantly hooked on metrics.
After three years of digital account management at a small Chicago agency, John was recruited to help build MusicNow, a streaming music platform founded by Motorola and Mark Cuban.
During his time at MusicNow, John developed and executed the company’s customer acquisition strategy. He heavily leveraged paid search, organic search, third party partnerships and email to grow the company’s subscriber base from 0 to well over 100K monthly subscribers. The company was eventually sold to AOL.
John went back to the agency world in 2006 has been focused on developing cost-effective, highly measurable, lead-generation programs for B2C and B2B clients that include Aerotek, Mayo Clinic, SEI, Filtration Group, Purafil and more.
