Chris has over 25 years’ experience with food service, CPG, technology and toy brands.
He led all marketing efforts as VP Marketing at #2 smoothie chain Smoothie King; and as CMO of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, a high growth fast casual chain.
As Executive Vice President for Sandelman & Associates and Principal of Secret Recipe Marketing, Chris provided research and consulting to leading franchised restaurant chains. He also served as Vice President Marketing for electronic learning toy maker Leap-Frog Enterprises, leading marketing plans for the digital-centric and e-commerce re-launch of the brand.
Chris worked for Taco Bell/YUM Brands from 1996-2007, rising from Advertising Manager to Vice President, Brand Marketing, overseeing the national marketing plan, product portfolio strategy, and the new product and marketing program pipeline. He earned Effie awards for the Taco Bell “Chihuahua” ad campaign and Brand Re-launch, and has spoken to industry conferences on innovation and digital marketing.
He began his marketing career at Young & Rubicam Advertising, where he headed major consumer brand accounts such as Clorox and Xerox. He graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University.
